- Cellvizio demonstrated live during ERCP at the 26th Gastroenterology and Endotherapy Workshop
Dr Giovannini (Institut Paoli-Calmettes, Marseille) and PD Dr Meining (Technical University Munich) performed a live demonstration of real time stricture characterization with Cellvizio during ERCP.

Cellvizio - A unique approach
Mauna Kea Technologies’ Cellvizio family of endo-microscopes rely on our unique approach for the in vivo and in situ exploration of the living organism by, very simply stated, putting a microscope objective at the end of an ultra-thin, three meter long fiber.
On top of the fact that our technology is compatible with all existing coloscopes, gastroscopes and bronchoscopes, one of the characteristics of our technology that makes it so unique is that, from the very beginning, we knew that it was impractical and unrealistic to miniaturize the ensemble of the components needed for real-time, high-definition medical imaging to a point where they could pass anywhere in the living organism without provoking damage to surrounding areas. With that understanding in mind, we sought out to uniquely miniaturize the imaging objective while leaving the bulk of the technology including scanning and image reconstruction on the outside of the subject’s body.
Our products were designed and built with our customers’ needs and practices as our top priority.
