Cellvizio: Our Flagship Product

What is Cellvizio used for?

Cellvizio is an endomicroscopy system which generates optical biopsies, providing physicians with microscopic images of tissue instantaneously and in a minimally-invasive manner. This simple pattern recognition facilitates better decision-making and appropriate patient management. Cellvizio is used for various indications:

  • Barrett's Esophagus
  • Bilio-pancreatic Strictures
  • Pancreatic Cysts
  • Inflammatory Bowel Diseases
  • Colorectal Lesions
  • Pulmonology
  • Urology

How does it work?

Optical Biopsy made easy

Mauna Kea Technologies introduces EVA, the Endomicroscopy Virtual Assistant that makes Optical Biopsy even more intuitive and integrated than ever before. EVA provides you with a seamless Cellvizio experience from image stabilization to review and report generation. Hospital administrators can take advantage of the DICOM connectivity which facilitates the integration of Cellvizio into the hospital information system for digital archiving of Optical Biopsy images.

Pending regulatory clearance, EVA is part of all new systems sold. The Atlas is not intended for diagnostic claims and, as such, any diagnostic assessment should always be made by an attending physician. The diagnostic assessment should include the evaluation of all relevant sources such as clinical and endoscopic information. The clinical classification of Cellvizio® videos in the Atlas have been validated by multiple sources including clinical data, histology and cythology whenever available. The computational engine of the Atlas has partially been developed within the collaborative effort of the Inria Innovation Lab SIWA between the Asclepios research-team at Inria and Mauna Kea Technologies. Product availability, such as probe types indicated in the Atlas, cannot be guaranteed in all countries. For further information, please contact your local sales representative. The SmartReviewTM is intended for recommending visually stable segments of videos, estimated from objective criteria based on image content only, regardless of the clinical interest of the images.
